Yoga
Yoga has so much to offer everyone. With consistent practice, you
will begin to notice improved balance, strength and flexibility.
Often the first benefit students recognize is a restful night’s
sleep, who could resist that. Each class includes asana, pranayama
& meditation.

Public Classes
Marina teaches public and private classes in the Missoula area;
including the Yoga Fitness Center, the Women’s Club, and The
University of Montana. There is a class for everyone; yet not every
yoga class is appropriate for all. Please contact Marina for which
class would best serve you.
Private Yoga Instruction
Occasionally one would benefit from private instruction, either
as a compliment to a home practice or regularly attended group classes.
A private session is ideal to begin and develop a home practice
or to learn how to adapt poses to your current and changing needs.
Private sessions are offered by appointment at Marina’s home
studio or at your chosen location.
Private sessions may include more than one student. Marina is available
for your small groups(business, clubs, friends) who are interested
in an on-site class or as part of another event.

Marina’s Yoga Background
Her practice & teaching is well rooted in the Krishamacharya
lineage, including B.K.S. Iyengar’s alignment based teachings
and for many years her practice focused Pataboi Jois ‘s Ashstanga
Vinyasa series. As Marina sought to deepen her personal practice
she immersed herself with a three week stay with Myra Lewin, livingyoga-maui.com.
This led her to study with Georg Feuerstein, scholar and founder
of the Yoga Research & Education Center. Marina received her
certification to teach Traditional Hatha Yoga in 2003 after an in-depth
two years training.
Over the course of the next two years (8 weeks in residence) she
studied and practiced with Georg Feuerstein-meditation, history
& philosophy, Patricia Walden- Senior Iyengar Instructor; Judith
Lasater-ethics and restorative yoga; John Friend-founder of Anusara
Yoga; Thia Ashonoah—Viniyoga teacher and therapist; Dharmanidhi
– founder of the Tantric College of America; and Dr. Mark
Halpern of the California College of Ayerveda. The program was held
at Baba Hari Dass’ spiritual community, Mt. Madonna, in California.
Marina’s personal practice continues to be influenced through
her continued studies with her local teachers—Marlene Burke,
Serena Early, and Katie Heath, her personal studies, her YREC kula
and the many teachers she encounters in her classes and on the sidewalks
of Missoula, MT.
